Crews started work last week on the $1 million project that will pay for the reconstruction of another 470 feet of the of the wall — between 8th and 11 streets.
Work resumed where repairs left off in 2009 where 300 feet of the wall between 6th and 8th streets was completed.

«We are very pleased to continue this ongoing project,» said Warburton, who personally thanked state Rep. Nancy Stiles, R-Hampton, for her work in securing funding for the third phase of the project.

Town Clerk Jane Cypher would like to remind all dog owners that dog licenses are due to be renewed on or before April 30 each year.
Please come to the Town Clerk’s Office at your earliest convenience to renew your dog’s license. Fees required are $9 per dog not spayed/neutered, or $6.50 per spayed/neutered, and $2 for senior citizens (first dog only). The town clerk strongly suggests you call the Town Clerk’s Office to confirm that your dog’s rabies certificate on file is up to date before coming to license.
Also, anyone that has a dog who die in the past year should inform the Town Clerk’s Office so that the dog may be removed from the database. Doing so will alleviate any discomfort in receiving renewal notices for a deceased dog.
Office hours are Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
